Loneliness is not necessarily being alone—you can be lonely in a crowded restaurant or in a busy church. Rather, loneliness is a feeling of being disconnected from others. It doesn’t matter whether you’re extroverted or introverted—you still long to belong. Indeed, belonging is one of the great longings of every human soul because God created us to be closely connected both to him and others. If you are feeling alone or lonely, I hope you’ll benefit from praying these verses.
